Ben Robertson was one of the first children seen at Glenmore Park - TopicsExpress

Ben Robertson was one of the first children seen at Glenmore Park in 2003. He was also the first child with simultaneous bilateral implants done at SCIC, having lost his hearing completely and suddenly in both ears. Recently Ben trialled the Aqua+ for Cochlear Ltd. You can see him in the photo with his brother Matthew behind him. Follow the link below to watch a very moving video clip with his mother Karen plus Ben chirping in with his comments. Its nice to see as he made quite slow progress for the first two years. However, Karen refused to give up and with lots of extra habilitation from SCIC although his language is delayed he has very clear speech now and he is quite the athlete too! cochlear/wps/wcm/connect/intl/home/discover/cochlear-implants/nucleus-6-for-children/six-reason-for-nucleus-6/aquaplus-and-water
