Benching God My relationship with God Is quite unique indeed There’s only one member on earth Who does follow this creed Only one who follows this Denomination of Courage, strength and fortitude Intensity and love This Warrior believes in God But unlike others who Wear a cross around their neck The good Lord I don’t view As someone who is there to solve Each problem that I face I do not “leave it in God’s hands” Instead I increase pace I stand up, walk tall and I charge I collide, I confront I’m fearless, honest, unapologetic Bold and blunt While others fall to knees and pray That God will handle it I reassure my Creator That He is free to sit To ride the bench while I take care Of what needs to be done I’ll use the gifts that He bestowed Even if it’s not fun I know that He created me And that fills me with power He didn’t make a sad, pathetic Wretch who likes to cower He made a Warrior of grace A Knight of bravery A Samurai of honor and A Soldier that is free Of feeling as if help is needed Every time there’s pain Reinforcements from above?
