This means that water has nowhere else that it can go, whether as Solid (ice), Liquid (potable/salted), or Gas (atmospheric Oxygen & Hydrogen)! Thats a benefit. We live on a water planet because earth is a Life Planet as Water is life for all fauna and flora! (2) As salted water slated for desalination processes is being extracted from the Oceans: (a) Volume of sweet water produced must be synchronized with actual/forecast/projected amounts of precipitation during specified periods of Time in order to account for the Oceans proportion of sweet-water Replenishment; (b) Otherwise, Oceans PH changes, which could be inimical to both plant and animal life! This could be a disadvantage, depending upon amount of rainfall precipitation! (3) Amount or proportion of extracted Salt from sea waters during desalination processes that separates it from sweet water, must be properly, safely, and scientifically disposed of (in kitchens or buried underground) or recycled, (returned to the Oceans, corresponding to precipitation volumes and levels, and/or in case of the lack thereof) in synchronized coordination with either the lack of rainfall precipitation or the periodic occurrence thereof for ocean-sweet-water resource Replenishment! Benefit or disadvantage? {Does not remainder of water volume in Oceans after extraction for desalination purposes also affect/impact amount of water condensation as rain-clouds in earth atmosphere, which in turn, determines the projected/actual/forecast amount of rain-fall precipitation? (4) It may be possible that the proportion of Deuterium to Salt density and sweet-water composition be disrupted to a point where thick brine accumulates, thereby presenting a danger to sea water vegetation, coral reefs, and sea life. This would be a definite disadvantage! (5) In short, the Earths self-contained geo-spatial ecological System is well-integrated with synchronized natural processes, events, occurrences, and phenomena that have been fine-tuned since the time of Creation for Dynamic System Equilibrium, the sum of which, reproduces, enriches, sustains, preserves, and protects LIFE in general and LIFE in particular. And thus, it is possible that disruptions of Dynamic System Equilibrium in the absence of making the Replenishment System work properly, might endanger the natural flow of things that necessarily cause all of our Life-support-systems to optimately continue and prosper, as purposed and fulfilled since the time of Creation.
