Benign....having little to no detrimental effect; harmless. Thoughts run through my mind while standing at the kitchen sink. It occurs to me that as Christians, we wont have much of an impact on our culture if we exist merely as small, benign clusters of people, like inactive cells just using up precious oxygen in a body. We instead, should be a force to be reckoned with - our very existence impossible to ignore- causing others to take notice. They will be so filled with curiosity that they feel compelled to investigate for themselves, what makes us different. We are to be light and light has an OBVIOUS effect. If your walk with Christ, is so personal and close to the vest that those around you have no idea of who you pledge devotion to, perhaps its time to start living out your faith in a way that a cancer cell spreads and invades every tissue it can reach. This world needs unashamed, unafraid, bold lovers of Christ. Its a hurting, sad world - Jesus Christ came for the sick, hurting and lost. We have the answer. Isnt it time we start sharing the Hope that is within us?
