Benita Hubbard the fierce. She was our sas and spunk on the deployment. Friend or foe she put you in your place. Not necessarily in a bad way but just by listening. She would show you yourself without saying a word but when she spoke it hit home. Kel MrInfamous Miller the wise. This guy would belittle you into greatness. He would break down any sensitivity walls and build them back with twice the strength to resist criticism. His words had meaning whether in a joke or a moral conversation. Quan McCoy the humble. He never placed hisself above others but as a brotha trying to make it. His meek attitude and ability to place things close to the chest made you humble and check yourself. But he never spoke it he showed it and it naturally rubbed off. Rodtrize Rod-Ace Hamilton the spirit. His emotions could change the way your day would go. But for the better. His ability to see things before they happened was nothing short of amazing. He would go out of his way to make sure you were good whether big or small. Brad Carter the conqueror. This doesnt necessarily mean he conquered land or kingdoms. He conquered some of his demons. Though this is a ongoing progress for everybody he conquered his openly with no regards to what everybody thought about him or his situations. Taylor Ray Fife the warrior. His ability to spear the problem head on showed everyday. He took the weight of everyone else and carried it to the end. He remained strong for us and still continues to do so leonitis is an understatement. Anthony Hawkins the sword. Beating after beating he remained standing. His wounds reflect his life, strong and resilient. Time after time whether mentally or physically he took punches and countered 5times harder. His blade remained sharp and will never go dull. Barry Lynn Joiner the gatherer. Not to many people can gather personalities and make them mesh like the jerseys of a Florida Gator football jersey but he did. He bleeds green. And that blood continued to flow through us because of it. Vince Littrell the heart. He kept in touch with the person that we were before we went to war. He didnt change up on us, and he didnt let us change up on ourself. He kept us beating and beating strong. Ahmad Wright of course he got on our nerves lol but he brought something very useful to the platoon, youth. We can not be crippled or old to fight. We must be young and full of energy and full of passion. So even if he makes us our blood pressure go up his ability to remain true was enough for us. I plan to do more of these before we return home. Take a bow soldiers, youve earned it.
