Benn off the grid for a couple days. Wednesday I started having Double Visions out of my eyes. Drove to the Same Day Care Center at my doctors office - they ask me some questions and when they found out that I hit my head the Friday before (van trunk didnt stay up, came down on top of my head causing slight bleeding) - they became concerned and wanted me to get an MRI to make sure there was no bleeding in my head or possible signs of stroke. They found out that I drove from home to the office - BTW: it was a fun drive - every vehicle in front of me had a twin next to it! End up driving with one eye or the other closed. St. Anns Hospital was like 2 minutes away from the office - I said I could drive there and they were like serious? Had no choice! Drove over there - Missy, my wife got a ride there - did blood work - went in for the MRI - blood work on my blood sugar came back really high - MRI results came back - no bleeding or signs of stroke Want ed to keep me overnight for observations and see eye dr in the am Thursday AM - had cardio ultra done to rule out any heart related issues Its all the blood sugar level being too high causing my right eye to have issues Discharged - then today went to the eye doctor an Ophthalmologist, did a bunch of tests, drops, pictures Result: right eye muscle has lack of proper blood - blood sugar interfering with the eye muscle operations. Best way to explain what my right eye is NOT doing is this: Get a pen - ask someone to follow the pen with just the eyes not the head - pen in front of their face a couple of inches away move the pen to their left as far as they can and then go back and move the pen to the right as far as they can - you keep looking at their eyes, you can see the pupils move to the left and then to the right My right eye pupil moves to the left just fine but then when the pen moves to the right, my right eye only goes so far and then stops - doesnt go all the way to the corner of the eye - this is what causing double vision. Wearing an Eye Patch to help rest the eye until my blood sugar gets under better control. Will be wearing the eye patch for at least three months or so. Blood sugar meds have been adjusted accordingly Scheduling appointment with the Diabetes Doctor to develop a more aggressive plan to get my blood sugar down Thanks for prayers!
