Bens Grandmother has been moving to California this week, she left out on Monday night with her son driving her car with a U-Haul attached. This morning, we get a call from Bens cousin in California. They had stopped for the night in Kingman, Arizona. This morning, the car was stolen, with the U-Haul still attached (apparently his Uncle had been warming up the car, so it had been left on and possibly unlocked - a big no-no). On top of that, in the process of chasing the guys down, his Uncle broke his leg (unsure if he fell or what happened - that info wasnt relayed). At this point, we dont have much hope of the car or trailer being recovered. Theres no lojack on anything, the car doesnt have OnStar, nothing. But there is insurance on the car and on the U-Haul trailer, so there is that, at least. At first when I was told this info, I was like Its no longer April Fools Day..this cant be real, right? Its not exactly something you think of actually happening to you or to your family, but it has happened. Im still kinda stunned by the whole situation. If you will, please keep our family in your prayers.
