Bermuda Lawns Info: Bermuda is green in the warmer months, May - TopicsExpress

Bermuda Lawns Info: Bermuda is green in the warmer months, May through October. It is dormant (brown but not dead) approximately November through April. Bermuda can spread aggressively and therefore does not require reseeding to restore vigor and density. It requires a lot of sun to grow densely and will never thrive in areas of shade. Bermuda is considered a very drought tolerant grass. Extended periods of heat and drought will not kill an established Bermuda lawn but it doesn’t make it look very good either. After the drought of 2007, Cary offered a rebate for the installation of warm season grasses such as Bermuda and Zoysia, prompting an increase in the number of lawns using these grasses.
