Bernadettes Musings from the Messy Room and I were talking just a little while ago about songs that remain apart of our soul whether they are good memories or bad. The truth is that every song someone else sends to you becomes a part of your soul. Like it or not, it just is what it is. Its ok to love the bittersweet music as much as the Happy stuff. I have a whole list of songs sent to me by someone that I love, but will never have. It doesnt matter though ....life makes its own plans regardless of the promises we make. At the time those promises meant everything and they did because they got us both through the tough days. Like I always believe, things happen for a reason. A path is a path and only the Father knows if our paths will ever meet again. Hes in pain and my heart hurts for him but we all go through pain and when we do, the one truth that we always have to learn is that its up to us to figure out how to make the pain go away. No one can do that for us. We have to make our own choices. I believe that no matter what choice that you make its a good one because you made it. So embrace the happier times and learn from the bittersweet moments. Enjoy every song that another gives to you. It was for a reason. It made a difference and it likely changed you in ways that you may never understand. So Lovies, please share your happy and your bittersweet songs; write as much as you are comfortable with, but figure out what these songs mean to you. Theres always a purpose in every song that touches your soul. It doesnt have to just be a lover; it can be friend, family, anyone that uses music to speak to you. Bernadette here is my favorite visual video of Jasons song, I Wont Give Up. He sent this to me and no matter what hes dealing with today, I know that he meant every word of this song from his heart to mine when it was sent.
