Bernie Fuchs in a July 7, 1980 piece for Sports Illustrated. It wasnt printed all that well at the time, as it was printed across the gutter (and the printing was lousy to boot). Fuchs proposed the idea to the people at SI that he visit the last remaining classic ballparks and they bit! This was his interpretation of Cleveland Municipal (a classic ballpark? really?) He painted a great Tiger Stadium as well as several others, but this one was my favorite by far.
