Besides the Range War, theres the LandGrab War out west for wide open spaces of OUR- the *publics lands* ... and this time the DOI is looking to sell parcels within an HMA (herd management area) which is supposed to be protected by the 1971 Wild Free Roaming Horses and Burros Act. Leaves me scratching my head -- Lets work together to keep the WILD in our WEST, and the WEST WILD. Per American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign: The BLM Ely, Nevada Districts has 24 land parcels up for auction for oil and gas development leases. 12 of the parcels reside within the Antelope Valley HMA, which is currently home to over 700 wild horses.
