Besm Allah wa alsalatu wa asalam ala rasooli Allah, The position of Imam is an Amanah that who takes it is entrusted with heavy responsibility. It is a burden that we should be respect him for and we should teach our children to respect him as they are in great need for role model and authority figure. When the Imam gives an opinion on religious matters, he will be asked about it at the day of Judgment. If we were to establish a strong community, strong in faith, we must follow the Imams advice in our religious matters as long as we trust hes drawing his advice from Quran and Sunnah. Being a diverse community, as we are, complicates matters. For a much healthier community where the brotherhood is the strongest, we need to shed out anything that we recognize as cultural rather than being part of the Sunnah of the Prophet peace be upon him. The Sunnah as authentic as it is, is what we all, coming from various ethnic backgrounds, have in common and what brings brotherhood feelings to flourish. The Imam is our guide in practicing our religious duties towards Allah including Salah, zakat, rights of others and all things that matters for us at the day of Judgment. His duty is to teach to perform in the right way, but better yet perform to perfection. As we begin a new era in the Masjid with the new Imam, we must put our faith in Allahs, subhanahu wa taala, and what He subhanahu wa taala, has determined. Indeed its Allah determination that brought to us the building for a Masjid at the time of His choosing, it is Allah determination that brought us Imam Sayed to be our religious leader at the time of His choosing as well. Lets renew our intention, neyah, to do better in exerting the effort to get closer to Allah subhanahu wa taala. Start by maintaining payer at the Masjid. Remember, the Masjid is Allahs, subhanahu wa taala, property. Allah who has made it available for us to worship Him in it and the more people gather for congregation the more the reward for everyone and with sincerity to Allah comes the blessings. So please bring someone along to double your reward. Imam Sayed has already moved into Pittsburgh and is available for prayer at the Masjid, on regular basis. Please, make an effort to welcome him and to seek knowledge from him on regular basis. We will announce his programs in time. Asalamu alaykom wa rahmtu Allah
