Best JML class ever. Never really had my eyes open for herps or thought to take advantage of the chance to sketch them. Never really had an idea about them, their parts, what makes them interesting. Never been one to pick them up, or any other animal. Now, perhaps there will be a new holiday in my life, ensatina sketching on wet winter nights in the chaparral. Oh, and by the way, Willy Burgdorfer, the discoverer of the bacteria that causes Lyme disease, passed away last month at the age of 89.
