With the names of Boston bombing victims on his racing bib and Aerosmiths “Dream On” running through his mind UCLA alumnus, four-time NCAA champion, and three-time Olympian Meb Keflezighi ’99 became the first American to win the Boston Marathon in 31 years on April 21, 2014. On April 22, this #TrueBruin made time during his hectic post-win schedule to drop in on the UCLA Alumni of Boston’s happy hour. On May 9 he returned to campus to a warm reception from his Bruin family where he said, Im so happy to be a Bruin! Thank you, Meb.
