Best catch of the day: This past Saturday, Ed Watamura of the Waialua Boat Club and Abe Jazmin were aboard the WataGun, participating in the Fishing to Feed Hawaiis Hungry fishing tournament. They were trolling off southeast Oahu when they spotted something in the water. It turned out to be two divers left stranded for more than two hours in the open ocean. One of the divers who owns the boat, said the person who was supposed to keep the boat nearby went wandering off. Ed and Abe brought the two divers back to the Hawaii Kai boat ramp where rescue personnel from HFD met them. The person operating the divers boat was reportedly back at the ramp, frantic about the people he lost. Fishermen feeding the community, and saving lives!
