Best laid plans... requested approval from my editor to write a piece on Robin, rather than the one agreed too. As I awaited his response, my computer crashed. An hour on the phone troubleshooting with tech support to no avail. Disk Utility couldnt repair my hard drive... rather than jump to the full erase (NOT!), system reinstall, and then Time Machine back-up, in case its a hardware issue, I chose to hold off, pick Mantha up from school at 3, and then spend the later afternoon/evening (?) at Apple. As soon as I made that call I got word from said editor... theyre inundated with columns on Robin, of course... my jammed schedule the last two days prevented me from getting to it sooner... may have to write it anyways... for me. Although this computer situation slows me down, scares me and is crap... taking it in perspective, it doesnt mean shit to a tree. And, fortuitously... Harrys on retreat and I have his computer to see me through. For now. Doesnt have my stuff on it... but maybe thats better. There are no mistakes... more will be revealed... this slowdown is intended... as is this reflection. Cant shake Robin. I guess Im not supposed to.
