Besturn B70 Redesigned and Nearly Ready The Besturn B70 was the Besturn brands first model before the introduction of the B50, B90 and SUV models. The last generation was based on the first generation Mazda 6, whilst this new B70 is thought to be based upon the second generation Mazda 6 with 1.8L, 2.0L and 2.3L engines being offered along with 6 speed manual and automatic gearboxes. This latest generation of B70 has gained a more fluid design language over the last generation which was penned by Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and seemed to be overly square in its design. This latest version seems to have certain Jaguar overtones, especially in the rear quarter, although the overall design is extremely nice. A third quarter launch is more than likely, possibly via the Guangzhou Auto Show, apparently a 1.8T along with a hybrid system will also be announced.
