Beth, Tom, Steph, Sam, Andie and TJ and I spent a few days at the Longboat Key Club. What a great resort! I had a wonderful time watching them have a wonderful time. They came from Illinois to visit for a week and it was everything we had hoped. Weather perfect. We saw a manatee family, papa, mama, baby, in the lagoon nose to nose tenderly bonding. One swam out into the gulf when we were there and was within touching range. Life abounds there, unharmed and beautiful. We welcomed the sunrise over the lagoon, and swam until the sun set on the Gulf and Sam carefully inspected a little gecko and then let it go, although it wasnt being held closely. I think the curiosity was mutual. Beautiful place, much nicer than one on Captiva that we used to go to. This one is just an hour and a half from my home. Love my family!
