Bethesda Mission Needs Food Donations & Hosting Thanksgiving Meal..! THE NEED: The Mission is in need of turkeys, other meats and cereals for food box distribution, meals on Thanksgiving Day and meals that are delivered to the elderly and homebound. Donations can be brought to Bethesda Mission at 611 Reily St., Harrisburg, at any time. The facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information to Donate, call Ken Ross at 717-257-4442, ext. 223, weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. THE MEAL: Traditional Thanksgiving meal is 4:30-5:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at the mens shelter, 611 Reily St., Harrisburg. The meal will include turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, carrots, cranberry sauce, fruit cocktail, rolls and butter, and various desserts and beverages. Anyone in need or alone for Thanksgiving can attend. About 45 volunteers will be preparing and serving the meal. Meals can be delivered for those unable to get to Bethesda Mission, within a five-mile radius.
