Between 53 and 54: Hojosuigun Youth Hostel. This place is more an inexpensive minshuku than a hostel. ¥4500 for a room and two meals. The owner is really kind and hes an excellent cook. Homemade tofu with a buffet style dinner and homemade bread and yogurt for breakfast. Without a doubt, the best meals Ive had in Japan yet. So if youre looking for an inexpensive place place after Matsuyama, this one is highly recommended! He also has a really sweet dog, named Myu. Shes super friendly.
