Beverly Sanchez (board member) and I spoke today regarding the ACBRA calendar. With more producers scheduling ACBRA prime races, it has come to our attention that we have a lot of co-sanctioning on top of our ACBRA producers within a close distance. ACBRA does not have a mileage restriction in place that protects our ACBRA producers. We appreciate all the associations co-sanctioning ACBRA, but with that said we need to protect the prime ACBRA producers. We wanted to put it out there to ACBRA members on what their thoughts are regarding this. For instance, please refer to the ACBRA calendar for October 26th and November 9th. acbra.net. We were able to find a current rule from AW4D, please read below. *All weeknight/weekday barrel races, (Monday - Friday) will be booked with no mileage restrictions. *Under $1,000 Added money per weekend (Saturday/Sunday or Holiday), 50 miles protection. *$1,000 to Less than $2,000 Added money per weekend (Saturday/Sunday, Holiday), with added increments of $100, 100 Mile Protection. *$2,000 and Above Added money per weekend (Saturday/Sunday, Holiday), with added increments of $100, 200 Mile Protection.
