Beware ... Facebook has found a wonderful new way to mine for data. Yesterday when I logged into Facebook, I received a message saying that they didnt recognize the device I was using (which is the same device I always use) and that I would have to answer several face identification questions. Not having any other option (other than not logging in), I agreed ... and then had to answer about 18 face recognition questions! Really? 18? It is certainly legal for Facebook to do this, but is highly duplicitous and unethical. (And sorry to the 18 or so people whose faces I helped Facebook identify and catalogue!)
