Beware of bear attacks near national parks in Terengganu The Terengganu Wildlife Protection and National Parks Department has advised the people against venturing into the permanent forest reserve in the state following two reported attacks by a bear over the past two weeks. Its director, Yusoff Shariff, said the first case reportedly occurred at a rubber plantation bordering the Merchang Forest Reserve on March 30 and the second in the Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve in Besut last Saturday.
