Beware of the new automotive place, Drivers Edge, at Lakeline and Crystal Falls! When the AC in my car went out Saturday, we took it there since it is convenient and open on Saturday. After a $2,300 estimate, we decided to pick it up and get a second opinion (because it also wasnt covered by the 3rd party extended warranty we bought). My awesome Dad wanted to take a look at it though, and see if their assessment was accurate. NOPE!! Dad just fixed the problem with a $50 part!!! A fan assembly relay or something like that. The Drivers Edge place said that the heater cool had leaked onto the electronics of the AC and that multiple parts needed to be replaced. And of course the labor was a huge chunk of the estimate. Maybe theyre good at some things, but this wasnt one! Thank goodness for my Dad!!
