Beware when buying any second hand boat related stuff from this guy. The motor i purchased from him 1. Advertised and told in person approx 750 hours on the engine turns out when i got the computer read there is 4152 hours 2. Controls for forward and reverse did not suit the motor 3. Motor had missing parts: trim anode, seized starter, high pressure fuel filter stuffed corroded out pissing out fuel, oil plug missing, wrong dip stick not even close to the right one. 4. Oil leak from motor which runs down the leg into the water. 5. Motor is in safe mode will not run past 2900 rpm I have contacted him numerous times to try and resolve the issues he is not answering or replying to my contact. I have spent an extra $2000 in parts alone not including mechanics labor and the motor is still not running. Michael sells across gumtree and facebook beware. Anyone that can help me resolve this issue with Michael Carruthers please contact me. I hope Michael will be honest and do the right thing by people in the future. Bottom line is he sold me a engine that was not running as a running engine.
