Beyond all else the DREAM Act puts the cart before the horse. Until there is comprehensive fair legislation to address those who came to this country illegally, discussing things like funding college tuition is not appropriate. More importantly considering how much we talk about fairness these days, its hardly fair to short change Middle class and working class NY students and young professionals already saddled with mountains of loan debt. I know when I went to college while the federal loan program was generous, the NY aide was a joke.
