Beyond the recent police shooting cases, most of us realize that there are systemic remnants of Jim Crow, or Jim Cronyism nesting throughout institutions in the USA. Although I highly value and respect law enforcement officers, many of us know that there is a great deal of racism hiding in the shadows of police forces and various other armed law enforcement groups that are tasked with keeping us safe. Sunlight is a great disinfectant (mandatory body cams!!!) and the number of cases that have met the light of day over the past several years, almost regardless of the details of each individual case, have brought the issue to a tipping point.
