Bhagavad Gita 2.50: A man engaged in devotional service rids himself of both good and bad reactions even in this life. Therefore strive for yoga, which is the art of all work. The art of work is to act in such a way that we become free from both good and bad reactions. Dutiful, detached work in knowledge protects one from the fruits of activities. We must work, but we should be detached from the results. buddhi-yukto jahätéha ubhe sukåta-duñkåte tasmäd yogäya yujyasva yogaù karmasu kauçalam Gyanis, impersonalists ( someone who knows the Absolute Truth only to its energies and because of this only realizes its impersonal aspect.) desire to become free of reactions by renouncing all activities. But the same effect can be more easily achieved by acting with detachment. For example, mercury is poisonous, but in the hands of an Ayurvedic doctor, mercury becomes a powerful medicine. Similarly, while regular, attached work entangles the soul in the material world, where as detached, dutiful work, performed in knowledge and aimed at pleasing the Supreme, leads to liberation. One who is engaged in actions performed in spiritual intelligence is superior. By the grace of the Supreme Lord Krishna one acting in this way is relieved of both good actions which leads to heaven and evil actions which lead to hell even in this very life. Therefore one should always engage oneself in the sacred science of Yoga & should offer fruits of all activities unto the Supreme Lord. This is known as karma yoga. this sacred science is the actual skill in performing all activities, because it turns even ordinary activities that normally lead to bondage into the means of liberation by offering them unto the Supreme Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna speaks of directing ones consciousness by spiritual intelligence. The merits one gains in the course of human existence such as fame, relations, power and wealth though pleasant should not be deemed important or be attached to. But one should be most attached to those superior merits one has acquired by surrender and meditation to the Supreme Lord, Merits, qualities such as righteousness, compassion for all living entities, devotion and love of God. Since time immemorial each living entity has accumulated the various reactions of his pious and impious actions. Therefore, he is continuously ignorant of his real constitutional position. For one whose consciousness is situated in the ignorance, whatever sacrifice, charity, penance or austerity one performs even for thousands of years are of no use and gives no benefit. This has been well defined in many Vedic scriptures. Hence it is clearly to be understood that the ignorant do not gain anything spiritual by their actions. Ones ignorance can be removed by the instruction of the Bhagavad-Gita, which teaches one to surrender unto Lord Sri Krishna in all respects and become liberated from the chained victimization of action and reaction, birth after birth. We are therefore advised to act in Krishna consciousness, the purifying process of resultant action. Knowledge of the Supreme Lord Krishna and by that knowledge renouncing the fruits of ones actions neutralizes the effects of ones actions and is known as excellent actions. Knowledge of the Supreme Lord Krishna is known as spiritual intelligence. https://youtube/watch?v=FIdaiBSM140&list=PLFB8588ABC6F0CFBB
