Bharat Ratna for Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar & Prof Chintamani Nagesa Ramachandra Rao is great honour for the field of Sports & Science. As Sachin becomes first ever Sports Person to receive this award and Prof Rao is third Scientist to get this honour. Master Blaster has made unbreakable unimaginable contribution in the world of Cricket and Prof. C N Rao has made exceptional & monumental contribution in the area of solid-state and structural chemistry. One has been a noisy & other a silent achiever in their respective fields of specilisation. The first ever Bharat Ratna - the highest civilian honour of our country was given to famous scientist, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman in 1954 the year of its inception. Since then another Scientst Dr APJ Abdul Kalam received it in 1997. Today two fraternities of Sportsmen & Scientists must feel delighted & honoured that contribution of two greatests of them is being appreciated & awarded by the Nation.
