Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar gas pipeline to create 20,000 jobs: (Read Full Story) July 22: District Administration, Kathua, organ- ised one-day awareness camp for people of four villages namely Bhagthali, Taraf Manjli, Taraf Tajwal and Taraf Bhagwal whose land is coming under the Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar nat- ural gas pipeline network at Government High School, Ward No. 12 at Kathua today. Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) S.P. Rakwal was the chief guest on the ocassion. Tehsildar Kathua Jitendra Mishra, H S Dhingra, Sr Manager SICON, Amitabh Mukherjee, Manager ( BJSPL) project, Ajay Vir Singh AGM project, Abdul Hamid Advisory, BJSPL, Shiv Kumar, Assistant Manager BJSPL besides locals attended the camp. Pertinent to mention here that GSPL India Gasnet Ltd is laying Bhathinda-Jammu- Srinagar natural gas pipeline in the J&K State. While speaking on the occa- sion, Advisor BJSPL Abdul Hamid said Gas pipeline project will provide natural gas pipeline connectivity to Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Ramban, Anantnag, Srinagar district of the State. The project will create over 20000 jobs for the unemployed youth of the State besides attracting investments which will help in the overall econom- ic growth of the State. He said the gas pipe lines will be laid 1.5 meter below the land and farm- ers can even sow their crops. He said after the completion of the project, cooking gas will be available in the kitchens through pipeline. While addressing the gather- ing, ACR Kathua said that com- pensation in the form of rent will be given to the people whose land will be notified under the gas pipeline project.
