Bhim Singh bereaved, his elder brother expired Chief of Army Staff sends condolence Ex-Subedar Jagan Singh, elder brother of Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, paternal uncle of Shri Harsh Dev Singh (MLA) and maternal uncle of Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia (MLA) passed away this morning at Military Hospital, Udhampur due to cardiac arrest. Sub. Jagan Singh a former sarpanch of their ancestral village Chanunta was a senior notable in the historical village, the ancestral place of Chanotra dynasty which ruled Ramnagar principality some 170 years. Sub. Jagan Singh was two years senior to Prof.Bhim Singh in school where they studied in Primary Village School some 5 miles away from native village, Bhugterian. Thousands of people participated in the last journey of Subedar Jagan Singh including Prof.Bhim Singh, Shri Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP, Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, President-JKNPP, S. Daljit Singh, Vice President-JKNPP, Shri Faqir Nath, ex-MLA, Provincial President-JKNPP and several other office bearers of the Panthers Party and other political parties at Udhampur this afternoon. In a condolence message Prof.Bhim Singh said that he is feeling as if the roof of his house has collapsed as Shri Jagan Singh was the last surviving brother in the family. Prof.Bhim Singh has five brothers. Four of them died earlier, mostly of cardiac arrests. Sub. Jagan Singh was the fifth brother. Prof.Bhim Singh said that he is left alone out of the six and shall try to carry on the message of his family to the new generations that death is the end of life and therefore the goal has to be ultimate good of all. Sub. Jagan Singh wrote a last booklet on the history of Chanotra dynasty which is in circulation and that was, Prof.Bhim Singh said that a great contribution towards history of the family and its contribution in the past. Prof.Bhim Singh said that his ancestors had made superb sacrifices as most of them buried alive under the foundation of Ramnagar Fort (Udhampur District) in 1830 by the rulers of Ramnagar. He hoped that contribution made by Sub. Jagan Singh shall be remembered by all.
