Bi-lingual (Spanish) Part-time Temporary Receptionist Child Guidance of Southern Connecticut - Stamford, CT The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut, a non-profit agency headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, seeks an enthusiastic, flexible, customer service-oriented professional to manage the front desk responsibilities on a part-time (approximately 15 hours/week), temporary (July to November) basis. This position presents the opportunity to work in a mission driven organization with a staff dedicated to helping children and families. Responsibilities: The Receptionist is expected to demonstrate excellent judgment, reliability, attention to detail, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively and efficiently including: Greeting patients and other visitors to the Center and directing them to appropriate staff Maintaining systems documenting patient visits and staff schedules Accepting and documenting payments from patients Answering, screening, and directing incoming telephone calls. Scheduling patient appointments Calling patients to remind them of upcoming appointments Obtaining documentation of up to date insurance information from patients Responding to telephone inquiries Overseeing the efficient and comfortable atmosphere of the reception area Providing coverage for other administrative staff as needed Other related duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications: SKILLS: The ideal candidate will: Be highly organized and detail oriented Able to multi-task and prioritize assignments, work independently and accept direction Interact effectively with Center patients, visitors and staff Good verbal communication skills Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite 2010, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and readily able to learn new computer programs as required.
