BiS CERTIFICATION FOR 5 BENGAL HEAD POST OFFICES Five head post offices in the West Bengal Circle — Park Street, Alipore, Bardhaman, Durgapur and Siliguri — have been accorded recognition of certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under the Sevottam model.The BIS developed the Sevottam model (IS 15700:2005) as a benchmark for quality service delivery based on assessment, and the improvement model developed by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance, an official of the Department of Posts said here on Tuesday.The model stands for high standards — effective implementation of the citizen’s charter, an active grievance redress system that satisfies the customer and excellence in service delivery.[source:TheHindu]
