Bias... I just read another pro big government.. con big business article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution... the article had to do with ten large Georgia based companies which paid no taxes in 2012.. as if this was a cardinal sin.. almost as if it was criminal.. which it isnt.. Companies didnt write the tax code.. our government wrote the tax code.. providing incentives through tax breaks.. and many of the laws are poorly written, containing loopholes that tax lawyers and accountants discover and the IRS allows... nowhere in the article was mentioned the overall economic contribution of the companies to the economy..number of employees.. size of payroll.. how much was spent on services and supplies acquired from other companies who do pay taxes.. the emphasis was all on what was not paid to the US Government... you know.. that government that pays its employees more in dollars and benefits than is paid public employees, that government which buys without competitive bids, that government that has no budget that it follows, that government that is in debt because it spends more than it takes in.. that government that liberal folk apparently believes does a better job managing your money than you can.. Oh well.. I guess some information is better than no information... misleading by exclusion... but better than no information...
