He is speaking to sinful people who sin and then boast about their sacrificial offerings. here we see evidence that God brings some hardships and calamity as a way for his children to come back to Him, to turn back to Him. In this Chapter God warns that continual sinning and turning away from God will in turn bring one back to meet His maker. We may chose to live in any manner we like while on this earth but everyone will eventually meet God and will have to make an account for our actions.
