Bible Reading 2014 March 18=Joshua 19-21 God Keeps His Word! (Joshua 21:45) “There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.” Joshua was almost to the end of his work for the Lord and his earthly life. Since the death of Moses he had been the leader of the Children of Israel. He had led them across the Jordan river, around and around the city of Jericho, and into the good land that God had promised. He had witnessed and participated in the division of the land. There was still much work to be done, but Joshua had fulfilled his mission. Joshua was reminding the people that God was faithful to His word. All that He had promised to His people, He had done. We need to see from this lesson that no matter what we face or whatever obstacles get in our way, if we are saved and faithful to the Lord He will keep His promises. Paul told Titus that God cannot lie. We have the promise that He is able to save us; He is able to keep us; He is able to resurrect us; and He is able to take us to Heaven where we will spend eternity with Him. So cheer up. What God has promised, that He will also perform. If the road seems rough and long, And the world to you looks wrong. Just remember—what you’ve heard. No Matter what...God keeps His word! GOD SAID IT—THAT SETTLES IT!
