Bible Study God at the Top God honors us when He is honored as our top priority. He’s jealous of us Deuteronomy 4:24 “God first, family second, work third.” But what does it really mean to put God first? What does it mean to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5)? If we are to actually follow this command, what would our lives look like? For one reason or another, difficulties are going to cross your way in life. Sometimes they will stand in your path like a big mountain, yet their enormous presence fails to belittle your desire to cross over because God will take care and control over such situations (Matthew 6:31-33). Jesus’ life on earth was perfect in regard to putting God first, we should look at the way He lived His life and imitate Him, attempting to “walk in the manner that He walked” (1 John 2:6). Jesus’ life was characterized by submission to the Father’s will, service to others, and prayer. It is interesting to note that Jesus never pursued worldly ambition in any way and never pursued the glory of this world. He killed his flesh and lived in the spirit. He had every gift, talent and ability to make Him the most famous and wealthiest man who ever lived. But there was only one goal which He considered worthy of His talents—the glory of the Father. Thay´s why the bible says in Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. When we commit our endeavors to the Lord, He begins to work on our life. Not only does He give us creative ideas we never would have thought of on our own, but He directs us in the paths of His will--which is where our blessings, rewards, and opportunities are. Each time we approach a task, we have to remember that theres our way of doing it, and theres Gods way. If we humbly and prayerfully give it to God, He becomes responsible for seeing that it succeeds. In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success. - Proverbs 3:6 David wrote: Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and He will. Psalm 37:5 God has a plan for your success in every endeavor you undertake, and you can lay hold of that plan as you commit your work to Him, and trust Him to direct your efforts. Have a Blessed week
