It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.” So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. – Romans 14:10-12 (NIV) Today’s commentary This passage is sobering and exciting for those who love Jesus. This means that we need to examine our life in the light of what will pass God’s judgment on that final day. This also means that we have a way to measure our life to determine if it is productive or not. How will your day change if you know that you will give an account to God? How will it affect your work? Your family time? Remember that we live for an audience of One, for it is God’s opinion that ultimately matters in the end.
