Bible truth for today. The Christian Life (faith) 23. Before - TopicsExpress

Bible truth for today. The Christian Life (faith) 23. Before this faith come, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. We are no longer under the supervision of the Law. Gal 3:23-24. 4. But when the time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5. To redeem those under the law, that we might receive full right of sons. 6. Because you are sons, God sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, the spirit who calls out "Abba, father." Galatians 4:4-6 before we consider the last bible reference, there is always confusion in reading of Galatians 4:1-2 "what am I saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no difference from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2. He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father" This portion above is a conclusion of what we read in Galatians 3:23-25. Its telling us more about the law, refer to as d guardians and trustees, its not another bondage after we have been justified, that is why it started with, "what I am saying is that...." And lets take note of a phrase in that verse 2 "until the time set by his father" what is this verse telling us? Is there another time again? No! That time is what we started with in verse 4... Hallelujah! We are free.. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcission of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all your sins, 14. Having cancelled the written code with its regulations, that was against us; he took it away, nailing it to his cross. Colosians2:13-14 what next? 6. So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7. Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. 8. See to it that no-one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. Colosians 2:6-8 Do have a blissful day, as I leave you with the presence of God full of Joy unspeakable.
