Bids For Countryside Estate Invited Reassurances have been made over keeping parts of the Island’s countryside open to the public. The Isle of Wight Council has invited expressions of interest in taking over the running of its countryside estate and service, which totals 170 hectares across 20 locations on the Island. The local authority said the aim was to protect and enhance the existing estate and improve public access and voluntary sector involvement. iwradio.co.uk/news/bids-countryside-estate-invited/
