Big Bang… Every time science changes what they believe, they get closer to the Bible. First they fought the Big Bang…then they came up with string theory and parallel universes…anything to find a different explanation that God Our Creator being the First Cause of creation. So, theistic evolutionists agreed with the atheists on 13.7 billion years so they could debate the need for God to be the First Cause. How did they come up with 13.7 billion years...the Bible said that God spread out the heavens according to His understanding: 15 He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, And stretched out the heaven by His understanding. ~ Jeremiah 51 So the main question for Christians is: Do you believe the Bible is true or not? 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. ~ Genesis 1 So, was the evening and the morning the first 24-hour day –or- some long period of time (millions, billions of years)? Hmmm…gap theorists / theistic evolution theorist somehow read this to be a long period of time. So, let’s look at another place in the Bible. Again, it’s God speaking: 1 And God spoke all these words, saying: … 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. ~ Exodus 20 Hmm…God said that He created the heavens (that includes the stars) and the earth and the sea and everything in them in six days. We’ll leave the obvious for now. Some say that the first 6-8 chapters of the Bible are allegorical; but as it says in the New Testament: 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. ~ 2 Timothy 3:16 Is God lying? Is the universe really 13.7 billion years old? On what day was the Sun, Moon, and stars created? 14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. ~ Genesis 1 WHAT? THE 4th DAY? How was there any light? Okay, Okay, maybe the days are out of order and besides it was millions / billions of years…but surely the plants were created after the Sun, right? 11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day. ~ Genesis 3 WHAT? The plants were created before the Sun? How did they survive the million/billion Day age without the sun, which we know to be the source for photosynthesis? Is the order of Creation in Genesis true? Why would God create light before the Sun/Moon/stars? I don’t know…perhaps because He didn’t want us to worship them…which He knew we would as is evidenced by just about every non-God religion in the history of man. Why would God create the plants before the Sun? I don’t know…maybe because He knew that someone would try to compromise with the atheists and come up with a Day Age theory as well as Big Bang in an attempt to make the prospects of His existence more palatable to man’s limited reason. 8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. ~ Isaiah 55 So, for those calling themselves “Bible-Believing Christians”: Is only some scripture true –or- is all scripture true? 13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. 17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. ~ Hebrews 6 Did you catch what is says in verse 18? “…in which it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie…” and our very salvation depends on this: “…we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” And what is our hope? 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. So, let me ask you? Do you believe that the universe and everything was created in six days –or- is the Bible wrong in Genesis 1 and Exodus 20? Do you believe it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie? Let me rephrase that: If God can lie, then what hope can you have in His promises? What hope can you have of eternal life through Jesus Christ? Science has constantly had to revise their timelines…always in the direction of the Bible. The evidence supports the Bible and a young earth. Evolution is a lie. Theistic evolution, which is a compromise, is also a lie. Our God and Creator created universe in six days, even if you are presently deceived by this compromise with the world of a Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago…regardless of your own understanding, know this: The Bible is true. If you truly know Jesus Christ, do you know that He was the person in the Trinity that spoke the creation into motion? Do you believe Jesus Christ spoke creation of the universe? 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Do you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He dwelt among us? 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. Do you believe that God sent His Son to die for your sins to save you from condemnation? 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. ~ John 3 DO YOU BELIEVE?
