Big Beam hosted another close, hard fought Saturday open match in horrendous wet and windy conditions. Well done to Malc Swindels on winning with a weight of 36lb from peg 49. Malcs net was a real mixed bag of carp, crucians, tench and skimmers caught on the pellet at 6 metres and close in. In second place fishing peg 18 was Lee Cooper with 34lb 14oz fishing the corn at 16 metres. Like Malc, Lees was a real mixed bag which included some smashing bream which now seem to be showing themselves on a regular basis. In third place fishing peg 45 was Pete Conlon with 31lb 2oz of quality carp and quality bream. Pete caught on the far bank using the banjo feeder with pellet on the hook. In forth place with 25lb 12oz of quality carp on the meat was Dave Kelly from peg 41. Our next open match will be held this coming Thursday on Far Hope, see you there !!
