Big News!!! We are settling down in Solvang... I have been coming to this little Danish town for over 30 years, it was here we found out Lisa was expecting little Charlie. Despite our broad travels we seem to always feel the strong pull of the Santa Ynez valley, just something about this place that has always felt like home. I will always remember standing near the Mission Santa Ynez and looking over Mission valley with my mother. She was moved nearly to tears as she spoke of the beauty of Solvang, a place she too visited often. So what about our travels? We have always traveled often and that will stay the same. We of course will keep our motorhome and travel far and wide, we have the wanderlust. Indeed we are ready for a home, a garage and a little elbow room... before I go shining on these people!!!!, oh crap, was that out loud? No, actually I love the cosiness in our motorhome, and living in a space the size of a walk-in closet and not wanting to kill each other is a true testament to the bond our little family enjoys. I am so looking forward to projects around a home and being nestled in the comfort of a home that Lisa will make, she feathers a fine nest. Poor Lisa has had to engender her wonderful meals from the counter space of a breadboard. She has endured closet space that would not satisfy a weekend stay. But we made it all work beautifully, a road-trip such as ours is something I would recommend to everyone, a perfect way to gain a bit of perspective, a lesson on how little you really need... Nothing more, than each other. Sorry did not want to wax poetic, but already feeling the lament of the end of this magical journey. So more about our home soon, we hope to be in a home sans wheel by Christmas, I will keep you up to date. For now we will drink up the final days of our perfect year long sojourn.
