Big Wreck is doing a tour in Canada (as usual), and are actually going to play 4 U.S. dates later this month. They are hitting the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions (I live in the latter region of the U.S.; Pennsylvania to be exact) when they cross over here, but none of the dates are close to where I live at all. Other people who live in Eastern PA (or Delaware, since Wilmingtons part of the Philadelphia area) tried requesting them to play here as well (on an FB post Big Wreck made saying where do you want us to play), but since 93.3 WMMR Philadelphia doesnt play Big Wreck anymore, it was a dunce. since Big Wreck said theyd play as long as wed get the radio to play them, which they stopped doing a while ago. The closest date theyre coming to is Pittsburgh on October 29, but it is 4 1/2 hours away from me. (hell, even Washington, D.C. and NYC are closer to where I live than Pittsburgh). The other three U.S. dates are in Detroit, MI, Buffalo, NY and Watertown, NY, all much further away from me. The last time they came to Southeastern PA was at the now-defunct venue The Note in West Chester on April 4, 2013, 1 1/2 months after their reunion album Albatross was released in the U.S. As you can tell by this post, Im a little frustrated. -LXR
