Big day at Fishing Creek Baptist today! We were all set to celebrate homing-coming and old fashioned day with a concert by the Cockman Family. After working for about 90 minutes to set up all the sound equipment and doing sound checks, a transformer just a short distance away blew and left us without power! (We had also worked all Saturday morning to enlarge our stage area to accommodate the six-piece band.)What followed was no doubt the best, most intimate and spiritual concert ever held at Fishing Creek! Since they were an all acoustic band they stepped out to the center of the aisle and we were treated to a wonderful blend of expert musical craft and beautiful harmonies that absolutely thrilled everyone. With only the glow of our emergency lights and what little light flowed thru our stain glassed windows, it was visually beautiful as well. God simply cannot be outdone by mishaps and circumstances. Thank you Cockman Family and God for a wonderful day! Sorry not enough light for any pictures.
