Big day at PA National in Harrisburg yesterday.... Oscar was a very well mannered boy in our two sidesaddle classes at around 6 pm. Got two decent ribbons given the top quality competition. Our day began at 3 am ... rain and mist all the way up the road... arrived 6 am to get in the ring to school. Oscar fresh and full of vim and vigor ... had to lunge and ride him again midday to get to the bottom. Had a little mishap in trailer (my dumb fault) but no major injuries. Thanks to friends Marcie McCleary Michael, Lisa Gordon Carr, and Mike Milly for all the horse holding and help with tack/clothes changes, braiding, unbraiding, tacking up. And big thanks to fellow competitor Devon Zebrovious (who was champion by the way) for the saddle fitting and clothing modifications at the last minute. :) Back to barn by 10 pm safe and sound, finally to bed after almost 22 hours straight. Slept in this morning.... checked Oscar later today... bright eyed and bushy tailed. I am a blessed woman.
