Big day today. Walker heads to his first sleep away camp. We are all a bit nervous but I take the lead on the anxiety scale. Is it crazy that I packed each day of clothing in large zip lock bags with labels & then unpacked it all upon realizing how nuts that was? I know the point is for him to really have fun & to enjoy his autonomy. That said, his bag has been sanely re-packed & the rest is up to him. Hes off to rugged ground--a very old camp. No cell phones or technology & very full days. We will say farewell in just a few hours. I was looking at him last night & had a vision of his face when I first met him--just moments after he woke from a long winters nap. I might cry. Another milestone.
