Big is a 16.2 hand quarterhorse. We picked him up in an auction in may and he his hips and ribs were showing. Since then he has gained weight and looks perfect. He is sorrel with a thin blaze. Big is not very fond of ring work but he LOVES the trails. He crosses water, rides on the road, trails by himself or with others. He loves little kids and is kid safe despite his size. His gates are so smooth I can ride him bareback just as well as I can with a saddle. He does have some slight arthritis in his back legs, but it does affect him riding. It just hurts for him to bring is back leg back for you to pick them, you just have to bring them forward. I took big to the Ulster county fair, and despite never running barrels before he did fabulous. He loved the show experience and all the attention. He is perfect for the vet and carrier and is utd on coggins and shots. I am selling big because I simply dont have time for him as I am now retraining an ottb. Big goes unused but not unloved.
