Big news Everybody!! Effective 1 October 2013 the Waller Hall ID Card and DEERS Facility will transition from walk-in customer service to implementing a prioritized appointment-only system. Emergency customers will be serviced on a case-by-case basis. However, we would like to caution service members in PDSR units that your S1 refusing to process an action for you is not an emergency. Our customer volume is exceedingly higher than any brigade S1 and we simply cannot take their customers as well. This may be a rough transition but imagine walking in with an appointment and being seen as you expected rather than trying to gamble on our customer load the only time you have available only to wait for hours and not even be seen that day. That is NOT the type of customer service we like to provide. The hours of operation of the facility have also recently changed due to our inability to work beyond the duty day. In order to ensure we see all customers when we are at capacity we now close the doors at 1530hrs. So, every weekday we are open 0730-1530hrs with the exception of Thursdays when we are open 0830-1530hrs. Instructions for making the appointments are: 1. You will be able to see the available date and time to make an appointment +++++NOTE: Two forms of Identification required and SPONSOR’s signature required on DD Form 1172-2 Application for ID Issue/DEERS Enrollment. Family member may present Power Attorney to sign on sponsor behalf to certify family member eligibility for benefit and privileges.
