Big news at IQ HQ. Myself and my family are returning to live in Ireland in September. This is due to family and personal reasons. This means a break in production for IQ magazine. I will investigate the possibilities of running the magazine from Ireland with a co-editor working here in Australia, but it is likely to come out less frequently than every two months. Meanwhile, the Facebook page will continue to operate at facebook/irishqueenslander I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped in the production and distribution of the magazine, and the businesses who got behind the magazine and supported it, the talented writers, columnists and photographers. It has been an extremely enjoyable and also hectic year of producing the magazines as well as all the social media and website, and it has been great to showcase the wonderful Irish community here in Queensland, help out where possible, work with sporting clubs, and work on the committees of the Brisbane Irish Festival and Lansdowne Club. I thank those involved for those opportunities. There are a few individuals I’d like to single out for special thanks, people that the magazine could not have happened without - Sarita Divis - for help and advice in setting up the magazine. Seamus Sullivan - for inspiring me to do something to help the Irish community, for all your support and for your friendship. Thanks to all at QGFHA.
